Received my Acceptance pack today from Amor Ministries (who are organising the logistics of the trip on behalf of Stop The Traffik). Full of fun stuff, like this disclaimer:
"Damages may include but are not limited to: personal injury, illness, disease, serious bodily injury, death, property damage or loss."
Haha, haha, FUN.
But of course, I know what I'm signing up for. Gotta say, I'm feeling far more nervous about heading to India than I did about heading to South Africa a couple of years back, especially considering the stories of horrific violence against women that keep emerging at the moment.
But there are exciting things in there, including of course the obligatory mosquito-avoidance dress-code (It will be over 35 degrees but you must not show ANY SKIN. *swelter*); and the fact that Carolyn Kitto, one of our leaders is off to India in April to finalise our travel itinerary. I'm excited to find out exactly where we're going and who we'll be visiting-- it's a big country to pack into two weeks.
